Founder, Adam Schneider
Adam carries over 30 years of experience with Foodservice Management, Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail Management, Retail Brokerage, Sales Management, Brand Development, Consulting, and owning and managing his own businesses. This holistic understanding of the industry grants him access to a broad and informed perspective.
A passion for the natural products industry and its values, goals and ideals is at the heart of everything he has done and continues to set out to do.
His journey started in the retail food, food distribution and restaurant industries as a teenager in New York. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from SUNY Plattsburgh and continued to work in the restaurant industry managing large restaurants and catering halls after college.
Adam’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to leave the restaurant industry and start a frozen food manufacturing company that produced frozen dinners for companies such as Weight Watchers and its primary distributor, Pro Portion Foods. Due to Adam’s success and experience, Weight Watchers recruited him to manage one of their recently acquired Nutrition Cafés that included a natural foods retail section. The Natural Products Industry was very young at this time, yet Adam resonated with the values associated with natural foods products. He discovered a love for natural foods, and it was a natural progression for him to become general manager of a leading high-volume health food store in New York.
A passion for the natural products industry and its values and ideals is still at the heart of everything he has done and continues to set out to do.
Adam’s professionalism and business sense directed him to then start another company where he consulted for start-up retailers and manufacturers. He guided them on how to set up and prepare their businesses for success both regionally and nationally.
As Adam’s experience and reputation grew, Natural Specialty Sales — which later became owned by Acosta Foods — recruited him onto their sales team. Adam quickly found he loved the brokerage business and experienced significant success as a broker representative, breaking all the company’s sales records.
Adam’s success as a broker representative, and his entrepreneurial spirit, led him to move to Colorado to start a regional natural products brokerage company, Epicurean Concepts, Inc. Epicurean Concepts quickly grew while Adam continued to work with natural products vendors as a consultant and contract sales manager. Adam then merged the brokerage clients of Epicurean Concepts with a conventional brokerage company to create a natural products division, then joined that company to manage the natural division. Adam later founded National Sales Associates, LLC, a national brokerage company, with five partners.
Adam earned multiple awards for many of the companies he represented. As companies continued to seek him out to manage and consult on their brands, he developed a wide network outside the brokerage industry that connected his experience and enhanced his management skills. With this experience, Adam left the brokerage business and established Epicurean Sales, Inc. as a full-time brand and sales management company. Adam has since returned to brokerage in the Rocky Mountain region and nationally to fill a need he identified as a sales manager responsible for hiring and managing brokers.
Adam’s extensive experience with Foodservice Management, Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail Management, Retail Brokerage, Sales Management, Brand Development, Consulting, and owning and managing his own businesses makes him ideally suited as a Brand Manager, contract Sales Manager and Master Broker. In this role he can use his knowledge to the maximum benefit your company.
